''Austin Sunday'' is the 48th release overall and fourth live album by avant-folk/blues singer/songwriter Jandek. It is his sixth release of the year (fifth if the DVD version of ''Glasgow Sunday'' is not counted) and documents Jandek's first ever American live performance, which took place in Austin, Texas on August 28, 2005. The lineup of musicians features "The Corwood Representative" on guitar and vocals, along with local musicians, electric bassist Juan Garcia and drummers Nick Hennies (also of The Weird Weeds) and Chris Cogburn. It is a double-CD like his previous two live releases, ''Newcastle Sunday'' and ''Glasgow Monday''. It is notable, however, that the album is the second live release in the row to be issued by Corwood Industries; previously, Corwood had released three studio albums between the audio edition of ''Glasgow Sunday'' and ''Newcastle Sunday'', and one studio release between ''Newcastle...'' and this album. The show was also videotaped and was released as a DVD by Corwood Industries in October 2007. The DVD contains 2 camera angles but no 2 camera mix, much like ''Newcastle Sunday''.
